📍Orange

📝 Day's Highlights

• Orange

Orange is a very pleasant spot – with very little to do. I asked Google Maps for suggestions of things to do within half a mile of me, and it came back with nothing. According to Google Maps, to fully enjoy Orange you need to be a wine lover with e driver, as it is surrounded by vineyards and winemakers.

Be that as it may, I set out to do the historical trail. I quickly found out that a lot of it was site where something had been, but it been demolished/burnt down/been changed beyond recognition. I quickly gave it up, also because the blocks are quite long and on some of them there is not much shade and a lot of traffic.

Walking round Orange

In the absence of anything else to do, I took my book and sat in the park and read. It was very pleasant while the sun was out, but later in the afternoon a breeze got up, and when the sun was behind the clouds there was a slight chill in the air. My reading was accompanied by the sounds of sulphur-crested cockatoos and rehearsals for ANZAC Day tomorrow.
