• National Motor Racing Museum
Bathurst is a working town with not many attractions. One thing is does have is the Mount Panorama racing circuit and with it the National Motor Racing Museum. It did make me smile seeing signs saying “conquer the mountain”.
Bathurst is home to the Bathurst 1000, one of the most prestigious motor racing events in Australia.
The museum was quite interesting. Most of the exhibits were Australian touring cars, but there were also some bikes, rally cars and stock cars. I enjoyed visiting.
Then back to the Victoria for lunch then back to the hotel. On my way back, I stopped to photograph an old house (built 1875) and got talking to the owner. People here are generally very friendly.
