Today I passed 3000km driven. And to think that I thought going to Ramsey was a long way!

Back to the Conservation Hut for breakfast, then back along one of the many walking trails. This gave me a chance to see more of the views of the Blue Mountains. I also had a look over the side of some of the lookouts and realised how sheer the mountains can be! I had a look at Wentworth Falls, but as it is the end of the Dry, there was very little water in them.

After packing, I set out for Bathurst. I was glad to be heading west, as most of the traffic was going the other way. On the way I stopped at Big Hartley (to distinguish it from Little Hartley) for coffee and a poke round an antiques store where I met the son of a “ten pound pom”.

I drove to Bathurst and checked in. With it being a public holiday, almost everything was closed. So, I set out and walked the Victoria. The architecture here is functional rather than ornate. I had a good meal – I had difficulty cutting my steak because there was so much else on the plate. It is easy to be a carnivore here! After the meal and a few beers, back to the hotel.
