đźš—Mudgee - Armidale

📝 Day's Highlights

• the Welder's Dog

Another long day behind the wheel.

I woke early feeling rested, which was good. My plan was to drive to Armidale via the museum in Gunnedah. My plan was going well until I reached the museum – and found that they were closed for a wake. They let me have a quick look. then I went on to Coolah for coffee and a delicious apple slice.

On the road to Armidale

I don’t know what else to say about the day. I got up, drove, got to the hotel.

I am in Armidale, which at over 3,000ft is claimed to be the highest city in Australia. Whether it is or not, there is a definite autumnal chill in the air tonight. When I got here, I made a beeline for the Welder’s Dog. They had a sign above the bar that should be in every good pub Sit. Stay. Then over the road for a lovely steak at the Whitebull.
