Here I am on the 72nd floor. I am not sure how high up I am, but it is the highest room above ground level that I have slept in. 45 seconds to do 72 floors, including accelerating and braking. The lift starts slowing down 5 or 6 floors before the one at which it is stopping.
We had a lazy start this morning, then drove to Brisbane for the final time. First stop was the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, which is 89 years old. Fortunately, the koalas are younger. I did the tourist bit - photographed holding a koala and feeding kangaroos. What I also did was stroke an olive python. He was only 4m long, but he was a beauty. Lane got a picture of him investigating me! I also saw a kookaburra, an emu, a Tasmanian devil, a wallaby and a dingo. So all in all, I saw a fair selection of Aussie wildlife.
From there we drove to Mount Coot-Tha, for a view over Brisbane.

Next stop was the rather swish apartment. After checking in, we walked to the art gallery where I found a book on traditional aboriginal art for Caroline. We then took a stroll along the riverside.
For dinner, we went to the Charming Squire, a brew-pub and restaurant. The food was excellent, and so were the beers. It was a fitting last night.
Now I am lying on my bed looking out over the city. This time tomorrow I should be on a plane, and it will all be over.
