It was a long day.
To misquote Spike Milligan, we have travelled 910km in 12 1/2 hours - or is it 12 1/2 km in 910 hours? Either way, it was a long day, and good practice for my flight home.
Some things tell you that it will be a long day. When you turn a corner and the sat-nav tells you "continue for 260km", you know you have a long drive in front of you. In fact, with breakfast at 99 km (35 mins) amd lunch at 400 km (20 mins), with stops we managed an average of almost 90 km/h including pit stops. This is even more surprising since the first 99 km took more than 1 1/2 hours!

I managed to get a few pictures, but mostly it was just sitting staring out of the window. I saw a few lorries (it was ANZAC Day), but only one 3-section road train. I saw some kangaroos, but they were dead. The amount of road-kill was surprising. There were kangaroos, wallabies and a fox. Lane saw a couple of dead wild pigs, but I didn't see them. I can understand why vehicles have such substantial roo-bars.
