Sydney is overwhelming.
Leaving aside the fact that I was on my feet so much yesterday, I really could not face going back In. If it had been fine, I might have gone in for the bridge climb, but it was a wet day, so I stayed in and read, apart from going out for a coffee.
In the evening, we went into the city to a posh restaurant called Aria. I was amazed at the prices! $110 for two courses, $11 for a beer. Lane and David paid for it - they have been so generous! The meal was OK, but a bit fancy for my taste. From the sashimi pre-starter, which I didn't eat, and then getting my entrée wrong. The steak was well cooked, and the food was good. At these prices, it should be!
After dinner we went for a walk by the Opera House. When you see it from far off, you don't get a proper ides of the scale of it. Up close, it is huge! Lots of pictures trying to capture the scale of it. Lane got a lovely one with the almost fill moon in it as well. I think Sydney was gest summed up by our walk to the car. Under the plaza outside the Opera House were several bars that were packed and noisy. It was too much for me.
Then back home for a night of traditional sleeping.
