I didn’t go back to Katoomba.
Happy Easter and welcome to the second half of my time here. Being Easter Day, I went to church, taking a short detour to get some breakfast. I didn’t feel up to walking so I drove (wimp!) and then to Holy Trinity Wentworth Falls (HTWF) for their service. HTWF had a large congregation, and the service included a puppet called Bubblegum. He was very good, talking about Jesus and his “sack of rice” (sacrifice). There was also a quiz for the kids. The congregation was a mix of all ages, and you could tell that the kids were engaged as they were not running up and down or acting bored. Afterwards I was talking to the youth minister who led the service, discussing both the church and my home and travels. He suggested a place I could get to without driving, which suited me fine.
I walked to the Conservation Hut café and had a lovely burger and beautiful views of the Blue Mountains.

After lunch, I did something else I had promised myself for this weekend. At the brewery yesterday I bought a carry-out, so today I sat on the balcony reading and enjoying my “tinnies”. It would have been better if the sun had stayed out for longer, but the clouds and a rising breeze drove me inside. I have been advised that the weather is going to change this week.
