Boy, was it hot last night! I had to sleep with the A/C on, despite the noise, and even then I was hot. I checked the forecast and this hot weather is due to end on Saturday – I got here a week too soon.

This morning was spent at the South Australian Museum, and I think I overdid it. Trying to absorb 50,000 years of culture and diversity in one morning is not possible. I was trying to take it all in at once, which was too much. It was only when I was sitting in a burger bar for lunch (no salads to be found) that I realised I was overloaded. I just sat there, and it took me nearly 10 minutes just to decide what to order. I was close to tears and just wanted to scuttle back to my hotel. Fortunately, the room was made up, but since the room has a panoramic window facing north and west, it was incredibly hot. Even with the air on max and the curtains mostly drawn, it is still only barely survivable for me.

I am sorry that there are no pictures from the museum. I bought a pocket camera, but it has turned out to be all but useless.
