April 7^th - Day 9

Did I mention that David took his bike tyres into Toowoomba yesterday? Well he did, and told them he would pick them up this morning. We went to get them, to find them closed. We waited and they stayed closed. We waited some more, and they stayed closed. Even calling them mid-morning there was no reply!

Anyway, today we headed for the Sunshine Coast. I am still adjusting to the space here. We drove for hours to get here! Brisbane seems to be a mass of suburbs, threaded by a mess of motorways. But we got to the Coast eventually.

Stopped for lunch in Mooloolaba (pronounced ‘muh-LOO-la-bar’) I could get used to this dining al fresco. The food was good, the company was good, the weather was good. What more do you need?

Pity the unit wasn't so good. It looked like it had been furnished from second hand shops. Thank goodness we are only there to sleep

Went shopping again, then to a Thai restaurant for dinner. Lane and David went to the cinema, and I walked back listening to the surf. Got back in time to watch Brisbane beat St George Illiwarra in the NRL. I wanted SGI to lose because their shirts look like Saints' shirts!
