• Caxton Street brewery
This morning was a session of organizing. First, I had to deal with the elf’n’safety for my loco ride on Sunday, then there was a walk down to the Avis office to check about returning my car. I am glad I did because I found the easiest way to get there was to go round all the roadworks.
Since the car hire office was so close I went back to the Botanical Gardens for a coffee – remembering not to bang my shins on the steps. From there I headed for Caxton Street for a visit to the brewery of the same name. It was quiet and the barman was happy to talk at length about the beers. The only thing that spoilt it was the overloud music – almost everywhere in Australia seems to have music of varying volumes – from the background to the conversation disrupting.
After a trip on the ferry to get out of my room, I started packing again. I have acquired so much stuff while I have been here – the suitcase will be bulging when I have to pack it for the flight home!
